Where To Go In Iligan City
Are you planning to visit the city of waterfalls? Iligan City is my hometown and the place where I lived. I am proud to share with you some of the stunning attractions of this place. To give you a little background, Iligan is located in the Southern part of the Philippines and without a doubt, it was known to be the extremely sophisticated city in the Northern part of Mindanao. Timoga Swimming Pool
Timoga Swimming Pool is subdivided into 5 alluring pools that are located closely together namely the El Lauriento (Holiday) swimming pool, Timoga Spring pool, Mimar’s Spring way resort, Dela Mar resort and the last one is Marvilla’s Swimming pool. This is the place where most of the family in Iligan City likes to visit frequently during the summer. The water of each pool is overflowing, very refreshing, translucent water that flows to the swimming pools of various shapes, sizes, and depths. You can dive in 16 feet or 2 to 3 feet for children. You can take family pictures; the surroundings are fully decorated with paintings, carvings, and planted with beautiful flowers.
Tinago Falls is derived from the word “tago”, a Cebuano language that means “hide” in English. This “hidden” paradise falls can be found by going down 355 steps. As you get down there, you can take relax and feel the refreshing water falling down. You can freely dive, swim and take a ride on the floating bamboo boat going directly to the waterfalls. You can climb on the rocks too just to take a jump moves going to the lake. Worry no more because there are available drinks where you can buy beverages and snacks near the falls.
Paseo de Santiago
Paseo de Santiago is a place for family and friends to unwind. This place is situated near the seashore. You can breathe fresh air. You can take a ride on the horse-drawn rig. Children can take a ride in a small car. A single bike with a large wheel is available also for rent. There is also a live band with lovely, gentle, bedroom voice singers. Foods and beverages are also available for you to buy. A quiet place to relax.
Mimbalot Falls is one of the tourist attractions in Iligan City. I have gone to this place thrice. These falls are quite different from the other falls in Iligan. Why? You can simply walk by stepping the big rocks going into the falls. You can take hundreds of pictures with a transparent falling water background. You can also climb higher just to make a pose and capture a picture. There are also cottages surrounded with mini pools under your feet. You can try zip line and walk in the hanging bridge up high.
